Monte J. Schwartz, MD is a graduate of St. John's University, Saba University and the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He spent five years in Rochester, Minnesota, where he completed his surgical residency at the Mayo Clinic. Before relocating to Tucson, Dr. Schwartz practiced in Grinnell, Iowa for three years, where he was Chief of Surgery, Director of Bariatric Surgery, and Chair of the Cancer Teaching Conference at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center. He performed more than 2,000 operations covering a very wide scope of practice.

My specialty is deep tissue therapy, integrated with a variety of modalities. My general focus is on continuous improvement in strength, flexibility, and balancing the duality of mind and body.
