An Essay on Fetal Development - "Thoughts on Fetal Development"
Women who plan to carry to term are always interested to explore the progress of fetal development. For women considering abortion, fetal development can also be very important in establishing when or if to terminate. It is for these reasons that TWC is currently developing educational materials that discuss fetal development at various stages of pregnancy. For now, we would like to briefly touch on issues of fetal development in the first trimester. This discussion is geared more towards women who have NOT made a decision on whether to continue their pregnancy to term. Click To Read More.

A three part series on the impact of the abortion omnibus bill (HB 2564):

Thoughts on the Omnibus Bill Part 1: Our Position
The true nature of any organization is best seen not in its mission statements or sound bites, but in how and where it uses its resources. As you visit our office and explore our website, you will see that our priority is empowerment through education. The passage of the omnibus bill together with the slashing of our state budget as it relates to the support of pregnant women, children, families, and education speaks volumes about the commitment of our lawmakers to empower women.

Thoughts on the Omnibus Bill Part 2: Getting the Facts
We are collaborating with the University of California San Francisco to determine the effect that this 24 hour waiting period will have on patients who decide to terminate their pregnancies. If you are scheduled for, or have recently had a pregnancy termination at our office, we strongly urge you to participate in our survey.

Thoughts on the Omnibus Bill Part 3: Something for Healthcare Providers to Consider
As it is currently worded, this bill makes any visit that involves the mentioning of abortion, an abortion visit. This law also applies regardless of whether you respond to a patient’s request for abortion information. And finally, if a patient requests abortion information and does NOT have an abortion, then your patient can only be billed after you determine that she has not and will not have an abortion.
